Obama to appear on 'Tonight Show'
Guests on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" usually appear to promote a movie, TV show, book or album, but President Obama will visit the NBC show Thursday to make the case for his financial rescue plans.

I want to start today's Dishin' Dirt off with condolences to the family of the late, GREAT actress Natasha Richardson. She died after a skiing accident in Canada. Many of us (with children) know her from Disney's "The Parent Trap" where she played Lindsey Lohan's mother. Natasha was the wife of actor Liam Neeson and the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave. In addition to her husband and mother, she leaves behind two teenaged sons.

Richter Association for the Arts continues its film series "The Private Life of a Masterpiece" on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. through next week. Films are shown in the Farioly Room at Danbury Library.Each film focuses on the interesting and little known background of one famous piece of art.
