The Indigo Girls navigate the challenges of today's recording environment with their new two-disc album, "Poseidon and the Bitter Bug." After being dumped by their former label, the folk-rockers decided to release the album independently -- and they recorded it in a mere three weeks.
Radio Host Tammy Bruce Calls Michelle Obama 'Trash In The White House'
*While filling in for conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, fellow radio personality Tammy Bruce launched a verbal attack against Michelle Obama, referring to her as "trash" and mocking her message to kids about the importance of good grades. "Trash is a, is a thing that is color blind, it can cross all eco -- ecosocionomic kind of categories, you can work on Wall Street or work at the Wal-Mart. Trash are people who use other people to get things, who patronize others, who consider you bitter and clingy."
Bread-making for busy people
It was not your usual homework assignment.Maureen Wilson asked her students to line up and help themselves to a few cups of the King Arthur unbleached white bread flour she'd set out, plus a small amount of quick yeast."I want you to take home the flour and yeast and make a loaf of bread," she said, adding, "Oh, and don't forget to bring your bread to class next week.
