Stars Support Letterman: Wendy Williams, Al Roker, Chris Rock, stand up for him amid sex scandal.
*People.com staked out stars attending Monday night's New York screening of Chris Rock's documentary "Good Hair" to get quotes about David Letterman, who thwarted a blackmail attempt by admitting to having past sexual relationships with staffers. "He's the greatest host in the world," said Rock, 44, at The Cinema Society event sponsored by Target. "I would never make a disparaging comment about David Letterman." Talk show host Wendy Williams also backed Letterman. "I like him even more," she said. "He did a disgusting thing. But I thought it was really great that he came out and told his own story. The real crime is the blackmail." Sandra "Pepa" Denton said of Letterman's admitted sex with woman who worked for him: "I don't see anything wrong with it. I might have been one of the girls. He's a man ... and he's kind of cute!"
