Attendees at a service for DJ AM say hundreds of friends gathered at the unique memorial fashioned after a 12-step meeting.

Drummer Joe Stillwell said he and his bandmates (Seth Bolt, Bear and Bo Rinehart) always wanted to play in a band, but living in South Carolina wasn't exactly the mecca of rock."There wasn't much of a music scene in the part of South Carolina (we were from)," he explained.
