*Count John Legend among those expressing outrage against the New York Post in the wake of its editorial cartoon that some black leaders feel compares President Obama to a crazed chimpanzee that was shot by police. The cartoon appeared several days after the police shooting of a chimp that had viciously mauled a woman in Stamford, Connecticut. In a statement, the newspaper says the drawing was intended to "mock an ineptly written federal stimulus bill. Period. But it has been taken as something else -- as a depiction of President Obama, as a thinly veiled expression of racism. This most certainly was not its intent."
